CONTESTDue to the booming success of my last contest and the pretty enthusiastic response from my last poll asking if you were interested in another....I'm doing another contest :D!
Prizes are yet to be announced (however they will all include some form of drawn art from me and a feature). Go to my profile page and scroll down to VOTE on how you'd most like the prizes to be awarded!
Okay, down to the nitty gritty. I will be updating this later with prize lists but if you already want to get started, go for it ^^
The theme is CHRISTMAS. Basically, draw any of my characters from below in a christmassy scene of sorts (decorating a tree, tangled in tinsel, classic mistletoe, making a snowman...you get the idea ;D) I know Christmas is ages away, but I want to give you guys plenty of time, as I need plenty of time to catch up on art I owe before drawing more prizes. Job Saga, Chapter 6 and honoring stalkers...Just a quick update about my job saga.
I am now doing part time work. I have cut my hours down to 30 a week starting a few days ago.
Today I go into work and found out that 2 more people are leaving. One of which is my confidant at work. She always had understood the headaches of working at such a poorly run office. And now she is leaving. I hope to right behind her once I find another job.
One good thing for me, I have a job interview on Thursday.
Keep your fingers crossed that if it is the right one for me, I get it. :)

Drawn to Pain Contest

Theme: Drawn to Pain

'Drawn to Pain' :   Draw a scene that represents 'Pain' from a live action TV show or Movie.   Your drawing can represent physical 'pain', emotional 'pain', or even a 'pain' in the butt!  It can involve any number of characters from your favourite show as long as it represents 'Pain' in some form.   Your artwork can be based on an actual scene from the show or a scene you create using characters from the show.  Here are a couple of examples (from our admin's galleries)...


ENTERING THE CONTEST:

1.  You must be a member to enter - but it's super easy to become a member... just join!
2.  Entries can be traditional or digital art (no photomanips please) and must be based on a live action TV show or Movie (not animated).
3.  You can enter up to three times (though only one entry per person can win)
4.  Entries must have been originally submitted to dA after January 1, 2013.  The contest ends March 15th, 2013.
5.  In your description you'll need to do the following:
  Comment on your work being part of this contest - you might say something like... "This was drawn for the 'Drawn to Pain' contest being put on by 'Live   Action  TV & Movie Art'  -  
  Include the name of the Movie or TV show your drawing, painting, etc. is from .   Extra points for adding the names of the characters featured in the scene.
  Comment on the scene:  If it's not clear, explain how your scene represents the theme 'Pain'.  
6.  When you submit your art, please put it in the 'Drawn to Pain' Contest folder.

I just want to check with this competition, it says we can create a scene using any number of characters, however I was considering creating something using one character multiple times. Same scene, same episode, just different angles of the same character. Would this be allowed?

Hm. I'm not sure, you would have to ask on the original contest entry.
"is it also allowed to enter with a drawing showing more scenes than one, like 2, 3, etc. panels kind of drawings that all represent certain kind of pain, more or less?" I know someone asked this in the comments, this is allowed, but you want to do something a little different than that so I'm not really sure.

I think it means it can't be a picture that you submitted to dA before the New Years (last year, or even an old drawing from years ago). So yes, you'd be able to draw one now, or if you have just finished something you would be able to submit that :). Good luck!

That's ok, I hope you enter. I haven't yet, but I am reviewing my reference pics to work out what I want to draw for it. It's a bit different, pain as the theme, so I'm looking forward to it :)
