|Hello there, welcome to the Drawings Club! Here, all we really want to do is appreciate everyone's talents and give some constructive criticism that they can use to become even better than they are now. Everyone has a different style and everyone has a different outlook, and we aren't here to push others down. We don't judge you on your talent, the number of watchers you have, or the symbol you have in front of your name. To a certain point, we really only care about your drive to draw and your passion for art. |
So, now, what can you do now that you are a member of the drawings group?
Once you have joined, we really want to know more about you as a person and less like the picture you use as your avatar. So if you could, please fill out the-drawings-club.deviantart.c… (the Drawings Club Member Informations Sheet) and post it in a comment.
Then, we'd like if you would pick at LEAST one other member, evaluate their drawings, and then leave them a comment telling them what you thought of their work (one positive, one negative). Like I said, this is all about support and love, but sadly we couldn't pass the rule to have daily group-hugs (lol. just kidding!).
The submission rules are as follows: Three a week just so you're a little pressured to only add only your BEST work. Also, please do put your submissions into the right folder. Thanks!
Please do not hesitate to ask me any further questions you might have. Post them here on the groups comments or on my page. I am always open to requests, opinions, and questions. So please do ask any questions you have!
I would also like to make it clear that I would like you to put your own work into the folders. I have taken measures to make sure members do, but unfortunately some still don't listen. I have made it possible for you to put your things into the right categories, so I would really appreciate if you would do that.
Lastly, a suggestion for artists who do not have a scanner at their disposal: use picnik. It has a lot of different tools, including brightening/darkening and sharpening tools that will make your picture easier to interpret and more pleasing to look at. It isn't required, but I think this could help a lot of submissions to shine. Here is the link to the site: www.picnik.com/ It's totally free. You don't have to pay to use the standard effects.
So, thank you again for joining and please do submit your work, we can't wait to see it!
